We would like to say a huge thank you for an excellent party last night. Everyone had a fabulous time, the food was great and we couldn't have asked for more. I hope we behaved OK, despite being a bit late to leave and a broken glass! We will spread the good word about our local pub!

Just wanted to say a massive thank you for the food you supplied last night it really was outstanding, and went down well with all my guests. It seems that one of my drunken guests enjoyed the food so much that he thought he would eat some more when he got home believing the silver platters were of the disposable nature!

Unfortunately, in the cold light of day and on removal of the foil on the plates, it has since been found that they are not disposable as previously thought. I will be going up to collect them from him this week some time and then obviously return them to you. So just in case you noticed that some were indeed missing, I will be collecting them and obviously returning them.

I just wanted to say a big Thank You for the lovely Christening reception you hosted for us on Sunday (28th August). The whole thing was just wonderful. You were so helpful right from the start and I really appreciated your honesty about what you could and could not do. On the day you and your staff were friendly and helpful, the food was delicious and the room provided the perfect atmosphere for a lovely christening celebration.

I think your Inn is just beautiful and in such lovely surroundings.The children loved playing outside and the lodges are fantastic and very good value for money. We are already planning our next stay.

I think the words of one of my guests sums it all up really 'friendly service, great food, home-brewed beers - what more could you ask for?'

Thank you once again for making our special day even more special.

We stayed at one of your cabins this last weekend. We would like to thank for your hospitality the cabin was excellent and you even supplied us with a welcome package when we arrived, can't fault it. The carvery was also superb and at a very reasonable price we would expect to pay quite a bit more for a meal like that. I must just add that the locals were so friendly which we are not used to down here in Berkshire, we tend to keep our selves to our selves here so it was quite a treat for us.

We thank you again for a super week end and will most certainly be staying with you when our friends have another celebration of some kind.

Dave and I were guests at the end of June, and for AGES, I've meant to write to thank you and your parents for an absolutely flawless stay. You were so kind and understanding when we had the family barbecue. We loved staying with you, and look forward to doing so again. We have told everyone about the cabins, and the beautiful service and welcome we experienced.

I would just like to thank you all (as I didn't have chance yesterday) for helping us to have a wonderful Christening celebration yesterday at your establishment.

Everybody commented how lovely the buffet was and what a nice venue you have. All the staff couldn't of been more helpful and everything we asked for was provided.

I would like to thank you for the meal we had at The JohnThompson on Sunday 1st May, we were part of the Davies booking for 6 people, it made our day very special as the surprise meeting was with my sister and neice who i hadnt seen for 8 years, we chose your establishment because it had happy memories for us as I grew up in Stanton by bridge before moving to stoke on trent 30 years ago.... I felt i must contact you and thank you for making our day extra special and i am recommending you to all my friends here in the potteries when they go to Donnington!,
